Q: What is DomainFAQ?
A: DomainFAQ is a question and answer style blog written by me, Ron James. It addresses a wide range of topics from all sides of the domain business. I hope it proves useful for newcomers to the domain name business and interesting to those who have already been in the business for a while.
Q: Who is Ron James?
A: I’m Ron James, but you can just call me RJ. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my wife and our three children. I’ve a self-employed domainer and have been buying domain names and building websites since 1997.
Today I’m most publicly known as founder and co-owner of NamePros, the popular domain name discussion forum and marketplace which I have run since February 2003. I am also a partner in iMODO, a next-generation parking service and owner of (or partner in) dozens of other sites.
The past 10 years have been very busy, not just for me, but for the domain industry as a whole. I’ve seen a lot of developments and changes happen and have tried to soak up as much knowledge and experience as I could along the way. Hopefully I can share some of this here on this blog.
